It’s Wisdom Wednesday!

In this episode of Wisdom Wednesday, we’re discussing how our words matter very much. The scripture for this episode comes out of Proverbs 18:21, which reads:

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”

Though we have all seen the truth to the statement above, for some reason, many people tend to give power to the negative side of speaking things into their existence.

Why Do People Speak Death vs Life?

It is my belief that people mostly speak death rather than life, because they have been conditioned to believe that negative things are just a part of life. While this isn’t entirely false, I would like to suggest that you take control of your thoughts, words, and actions, and focus on the more positive things that you want to experience.

You can look around at your life and literally see whether or not you have been thinking and speaking life or death. If you have been speaking life, you may look around and see happiness, peace, abundance, physical and mental health, healthy relationships, etc.

Take control of your life

Take Your Life Back Now!

Another Thought to Consider

When you don’t guard your thoughts, or take control of your own experiences, you can be influenced by others’ words and thoughts. People can project their thoughts and fears onto you and alter your experiences. This is why it’s important for you to be in control of your own mind. You have to govern your own thoughts and experiences. You can allow certain thoughts in and block out others.

In the famous book, Think and Grow Rich, the author shares that the only thing a person has complete control over is his/her mind. If you really think about it, this is a true statement. We can avoid illness, poverty, and fear, through the way in which we choose to think.

Enjoy this week’s episode of Wisdom Wednesday, and let me know what you think in the comments.
